STEPS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROJECT
First
year
Freedom of thought, expression and information
1. All the partner schools will get in touch with human rights associations in their countries (e.g. Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch…) – organize meetings, press conferences, etc. with representatives of these institutions. (deadline: by the end of the first year and the second year)
2. The definition of freedom using national and international official
documents. (in the past and at present) - contribution from each partner max 2
pages ( Times New Roman 12) deadline 30th November 2008
3. The different ways of expressing freedom of
thought, expression and information in the course of history with reference to
both international (deadline: 10th
February 2009) and national facts (deadline 26th April 2009) (subjects: history, philosophy, law,
ethics, civic education, religion, literature, Latin, etc.)
4. Common part of the questionnaire on freedom
of thought, expression and information to be made in Adria during the meeting (17th -21st
February 2009)
5. Dictionary
- Every school have to prepare
(in English and in national language) a list of
max. 50 words or idioms about dayly life of students and max 25 words or idioms about freedom of thought, expression
and information. The deadline is the
meeting in Adria (17th - 21st February
2009).
6. The movements in defense and the defenders of freedom of thought, expression and information.
(Deadline 7th May 2009)
7. The viewing and analysis/discussion of film (1 for all the partners or 3
different films for 3 groups of partners) for ex. “Into the wild”. ( deadline: by the end of lessons)
8. Analysis of the present international
situation regarding freedom of thought, expression and information. ( deadline: by the end of lessons)
9. Questionnaire with common part and national part to be filled in by students of
each school and shared by partners. (during Meeting in
SECOND YEAR
Freedom of religion and conscience
1. The definition of freedom using
national and international official documents. (in the past and at present) -
