                                                                       “Two Treatises of Government”-1691.

 

 

Aims:

-to develop students  knowledge about Bulgaria political development

- to analyse  institutions`  role

- to appreciate  activity  of some politicians

      Methods used:

-Comparison of documents

-Comparative table

-Making conclusions

 

І. Analysing a text is suppossed ti find some  similarities and differences.

 

ІІ. Comparative indicators:

- who is the  author  of the document

-to identify the position which is  document  written by

- the type  of the document , when is it published , which language is it written in

- the main principles and ideas

- its effect (influence) in the country

- its  connection to the  democracy

- if the  document  expresses the basic  modern values

- if the document  introduces new terms

- if its content is clearly  defined

-circulation (publicity) of the texts

-what is the historical memory  for these texts from  distant  point of view

- their  importance for developing democratic theory and practice.

 

ІІІ. The  Conclusions will be based on :

-  is there  continuity between the  basic ideas and principles

- are they real but not utopian

- is there  correspondence between the aims  declared  and the reality

 

ІV. The  Documents :

   1.The  Foreign Press:

 Newspapers: ‘Dunnav’-180 issue , 4 July 1867(Its is a newspaper us published in Russe  from 1865 to 1877 as an organeg a Turkish government.The language there is both  Turkish and Bulgarian.)

    2.Articles  in the Free  Bulagarian Press:

-an article by Alexander  Malinov , a democratic party  leader in ‘Zora’ , august , 1922.
-an article by Danail  Krapchev in ‘Zora’ , -5th march 1922 “Psycology of the  vulgarity” , published against the Prime Minister Alexander  Stamboliiski

-Robert  Markham-“Introduction  to Bulgaria”-1932

   3.Freedom  of thought in a totalitarian  state-

 For bidding one  and preffering  the rest of the  means of communication is converting the  partian  ideology into absolute truth  for everyone.

4. Freedom of thought in the Democratic world:

- The United Nations General Assembly signed a Universal Declaration of Human Rights on 10 December 1948 ; /articles 13-30. /

- The Bulgarian State ratifies it in 1970.

- Universal Declaration of Human Rights is published in Bulgaria at the end of 1989.

- Character of basic rights in the EU.

 

V. Conclusions:

- to find and interprete the basic ideas in the text

- to use the old students ‘knowledge and the new one to make their own opinion

- evolution of the media

- the Net.
