Freedom of Religion

The freedom of religion and faith is a principle follows the personal right to choose a religion and also the choice not to profess any religion or faith  if you  are  an atheist.\there are more than 19 major religions and 270 religions groups in the world.

The freedom of religion  and faith is  the right  of everyone to choose , to take and  to  change their own  religion  or belief. This  is one of the basic  human rights and it is  underlain in the Declaration of Human Rights  of UN. In the declaration is said  that there cannot be any  interference like violence or compulsion in order  to take a religion.

This  is exactly the freedom  of every person to profess their own religion and beliefs individually, together in  a group of people using different  forms of worship, religions ceremonies and rituals.

The  modern democratic societies consider   the right of freedom  of religion  as something  natural. That is based on the conception that everyone was born  free and equal. This  right is private  and irreversible. It is guaranteed in the  International Law  and  the Public  Law of Republic of Bulgaria. In  Bulgaria  the right to profess  freely  anyone’s religion is officially guaranteed  by the  Bulgarian Constitution  and mostly  by the Law  of Ecclesiastical Matters.
