Didactical path “Freedom of conscience and freedom of religion in Europe - current situation”

History

 

1. Students are set the task to give a definition of the phrases "freedom of conscience and freedom of religion."

2. After clarifying the meaning of the above phrases, students are instructed to clarify which documents regulate these freedoms:

-  nationally;

-  internationally.

3. Students make a short overview of the current state of freedom of conscience and religion in Europe.

- example of a country where citizens rights are respected;

- example of a country where citizens’ rights are violated.

4. Students are instructed to point out an example of a country where even though they are regulated, the rights of citizens are violated.

5. Students express their attitude towards such a phenomenon in the form of debate.

6. The teacher makes concluding comments, which emphasize the importance of ensuring the rights of citizens in the modern world.
